IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
All the aspirants need to be eligible for the
post of PO. The eligibility criteria contain three major points for the
aspirants to check they are age limit, educational qualification and
nationality/citizenship. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of these
three before applying for the written exam.
- Educational Qualification: The aspirant needs to have a
graduation degree from any recognized institution. They need to produce
their mark sheets while filling the online form.
- Nationality/Citizenship: Indian citizen, a citizen of
Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan refugee and people who have migrated from
Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc who have an intention to settle in
India.
- Age Limit: The
aspirants should have an age between 20-30 years and other candidates in
specific quotas have upper age relaxation limits as mentioned by the IBPS
authority.
IBPS PO recruitment Exam Pattern
The IBPS PO Exam is mainly conducted in two tiers
of written examination and an interview process for the provisional allotment
of the candidates.
- Prelims-
Quantitative Aptitude: 35 number of questions containing 35 marks
Reasoning Ability: 35 number of questions containing 35 marks
English: 30 number of questions containing 30 marks
The composite time for attempting these questions in prelims is 1 hour. - Mains-
Quantitative Aptitude: 50 number of questions containing 50 marks
Reasoning Ability: 50 number of questions containing 50 marks
English: 40 number of questions containing 40 marks
General awareness: 40 number of questions containing 40 marks
Computer Knowledge: 20 number of questions containing 20 marks
The composite time of attempting these questions in Mains is 2 hours.
There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
IBPS PO Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process is in two steps one is the
common written examination and the other one is the interview. The scores of
the mains examination and interview will play a vital role in the provisional
allotment. The deciding ratio of the selection is 80:20.
The aspirants are required to get the sectional
cutoff along with the overall cutoff for in the written examination in order to
qualify. 40% mark is compulsory for a candidate in the interview round. The
candidates qualifying the final round will be shortlisted for provisional
allotment.
IBPS PO Exam Center
The candidates are required to check their
respective exam center mentioned in the admit card. IBPS Exam Center for the
recruitment of PO post is in almost all the cities of states like Andhra
Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, etc.
